Read MoreApprenticeships can be confusing and hard to understand, whether you are the applicant, the employer or the parent. We are here to help with advice and guidance to make your apprenticeship journey as simple as possible.
An apprenticeship is a real job with training, enabling you to earn whilst you learn. You will gain qualifications, which are recognised worldwide as well as a vast range of job-specific skills.
You will
Work alongside experienced staff
Gain skills specific to your job
Earn a wage and receive holiday pay
Study towards a qualification either at college or a training centre for at least one day a week
Apprenticeships can take one to four years to complete depending on their level.
Apprenticeships in building engineering services are for both women and men aged 16 or over.
To apply for an apprenticeship you need to be:
Aged 16 and over
Living in the UK
Not in full-time education - you can apply whilst you are still at school but you will need to have left before starting your apprenticeship
You will need to have an employer before you start an apprenticeship, although you can still apply before you have one. We can help you arrange this
We have over 25 years' experience and cover the UK
We offer guidance and support to employers and apprentices, identifying training and apprenticeships need and making them happen via our network of colleges and training centres
We will work with training centres or colleges to access funding and support on your behalf
We will provide you with a dedicated BESA Academy Representative

We will provide you with a SKILLcard and complete the application form on your behalf
We tailor your SMART progress reviews to your individual needs not just to the minimum government funding standards
