JOB ROLE/DESCRIPTION

Building Services Engineering Site Management staff lead the installation of complex environmental systems in
construction projects.

Main duties and tasks include ensuring safe systems are in place and all staff adhere to them, translate design information to construction teams, manage productivity on site so that the project is completed on time and to the specification and quality needed by the client. 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTs

It is desirable to achieve this apprenticeship you will need to have completed a Level 4 Construction Technician Standard; EngTech LCIBSE status, HNC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent qualifications and commensurate experience.

These will be demonstrated through knowledge tests, practical assignments and submission of a record of work-based activities, followed by an end point assessment.  

WHEN WILL THE ASSESSMENTS TAKE PLACE?

The employer, advised by the training provider, will decide when the apprentice has demonstrated the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours during the on-programme learning and confirm they are ready to access the End Point Assessment.

The apprentice will also need to have achieved:

• It is desirable to achieve this apprenticeship you will need to have completed a Level 4 Construction Technician Standard; EngTech LCIBSE status, HNC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent qualifications and commensurate experience 

• Any additional certification or qualifications external to the Apprenticeship must be paid for by the employer and will not be covered by any Apprenticeship funding or levy.

WHAT IS THE ASSESSMENT?

The End Point Assessment tests the expertise built up over the period of the apprenticeship. It includes:

As a qualified Building Services Engineering Site Manager, you will be able to pursue your career in the Building Services industry.
