A building services design technician provides assistance to engineers and other construction professionals in the development of cost-effective technical and sustainable design solutions
involving the production of three-dimensional models, calculations, specifications, reports and drawings taking into account, where appropriate, pre-fabrication techniques.
It is desirable to achieve this apprenticeship you will need English and Maths at level 2 or GCSE Grade C. If you do not have these they can be organised prior to the apprenticeship commencing.

These will be demonstrated through knowledge tests, practical assignments and submission of a record of work-based activities, followed by an endpoint assessment.
The employer, advised by the training provider, will decide when the apprentice has demonstrated the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviours during the on-programme learning and confirm they are ready to access the End Point Assessment.
