ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

WHAT WILL THE PROGRAMME ENTAIL?

Apprentices will study towards the Level 2 and Level 3 Refrigeration Engineer qualification, which includes knowledge tests, practical assignments and production of a portfolio of evidence.

WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP?

An apprenticeship is a real job with training, enabling you to earn whilst you learn. You will gain qualifications, which are recognised worldwide as well as a vast range of job-specific skills.
As an apprentice you will:

  • work alongside experienced staff
  • gain skills specific to your job
  • earn a wage and receive holiday pay
  • study towards a qualification either at college or a training centre for at least one day a week.

IS AN APPRENTICESHIP RIGHT FOR YOU?

  • aged 16 and over
  • living in England, Scotland or Wales
  • not in full-time education - you can apply whilst you are still at school but you will need to have left before starting your apprenticeship
  • you will need to have an employer before you start an apprenticeship. BESA Academy will try to help those of you who don’t have an employer placement.
