Awards Information

Winners from our BESA Regional Awards were automatically shortlisted for the Apprentice BESA National Awards in order to showcase the up-and-coming talent in both BESA member organisations and in BESA Training apprentices.

The Ann Noblett Professional Engineer of the Year Award recognises those who have completed a HNC/HND, Foundation Degree or degree course in building services engineering and are now working towards the achievement of an appropriate chartered professional body.

The scholarship, provided by ESTTL, will contribute towards further development to assist the winner in achieving their professional status by providing a bursary to assist towards professional body membership.

The Alfred Manly Management Award celebrates the achievements of young engineers who have been judged to be capable of progressing to a senior management role within the building services engineering industry.

Having completed an HNC/HND, Foundation Degree or degree course in Building Services Engineering and currently being employed in a junior or middle management position, the Award aims to help the winner to identify their key management development needs and the Manly Trust bursary provides support for the appropriate development intervention to assist them in achieving their full management potential.

The BESA Contractor of the Year Award is a brand new award for 2017. This award is for a BESA member who has completed contracting job/project within the past 12 months which features a clear focus on collaboration, maintaining BESA standards of membership and BESA member companies wherever possible.

Sponsored by the BESA Specialist Groups, the BESA Award for Excellence promotes the advancements made by BESA members that demonstrate their most outstanding contribution and commitment to achieving high technical standards within their particular field and where there is evidence of both leadership, commitment to best practice and, in particular, implementation of advanced technology and processes.
