IR35 and VAT Reverse Charge Seminar

HMRC 2020 Changes – Are you Ready?

From April 2020 HMRC is rolling out changes to its IR35 legislation right across the private sector which will alter how Personal Service Company Contractors (PSCs) are engaged ie. how contract labour supply/off payroll workers are paid.

(HMRC made these changes within the public sector during 2017.)

In October 2020 HMRC’s VAT reverse charge comes into force meaning the tier 1 contractor, rather than the supply chain contractor, will be liable for the VAT. Members will need to get to grips with the implications, required changes and model the disruption to their cashflow (which may include the need to move to monthly VAT returns).

Join our FREE event in February where industry tax expert Liz Bridge will present everything you need to know!

Find out:

How to prepare for the changes and avoid project delays

  • How it could impact your cashflow as a business or an individual
  • How to assess and retain non-permanent workers
  • How to ensure your business is compliant
  • How to avoid confusion, possible fines and being left in bureaucratic limbo

Remember - there will be no transitional period and these changes will have a significant impact on the accounting practices and cash flow of businesses and individuals across the construction sector.
