Graeme Fox, BESA Senior Mechanical Engineer, will be joining the debate on the topic of 'Is air conditioning for comfort cooling necessary for the UK?' at the IOR Presidential Address along with other guest speakers:

• FETA (incorporating BRA, HEVAC and HPA) represented by Graham Wright FInstR Chairman of the FETA Board
• ASHRAE & CIBSE represented by ASHRAE Past President Richard Rooley FREng, FCIBSE, Fellow of ASHRAE

Together they will explore some of the high level strategic issues facing the sector and the importance of air conditioning both now and in the future as demand is expected to grow. Some of the topics expected to be covered include the environmental impact of air conditioning, the roles of standards and building performance, international challenges, and opportunities for collaboration.
