They are FREE to enter and will reward the individual, team and companies responsible for delivering projects, products, innovations and initiatives that demonstrate building services excellence.
We will also be finding out who will be crowned the National Winner from the heats which have been taking place across the regions and devolved nations earlier in 2022.
About:
This award will recognise an individual that has demonstrated an outstanding contribution and commitment to achieving high technical standards within their specialism. This evidence will be based on leadership, commitment to best practice and implementation of advanced technology and processes.
What the judges are looking for:
The judges will be looking for a member from one of the BESA Specialist Groups that have achieved a high level of excellence, are meeting and exceeding clients’ expectations, have demonstrated a significant contribution to the professionalism and show an outstanding contribution to the industry within their specialist area.

About:
This award is open to any company or individual who has demonstrated a commitment to the UK’s target of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050. This commitment can take the form of delivering a project with strong net zero credentials, producing an innovative technology, process or methodology that advances net zero, or a wider initiative such as developing training or addressing corporate culture.
Entries may either focus on work for clients or on initiatives taken to embed a net zero culture in the entrant's own company and/or supply chains.
What the judges are looking for:
The judges will be looking for; the outcomes of net zero initiatives and evidence of success, innovation in carbon reduction techniques and practices.

Open to all UK projects with a budget value under £500,000, that have achieved practical completion, or equivalent, between Jan 2020 and Jan 2022. This category celebrates the best of building services, and the entry should reflect that.

The judges will be looking for evidence of: client satisfaction, project excellence, health and safety performance, sustainability, completion on time / early and to budget, supply chain best practice and innovation.

You'll be asked to outline, in no more than 500 words, why this project is a worthy recipient of the Small Budget Project of the Year. Within this answer please also include the following:

About:
This category is open to innovative new products and emerging technologies that provide solutions for existing market needs. The product must be available on the UK market by January 2022.

About:
This award is open to any apprentice currently working for a BESA member who shows a high level of promise and would, in the opinion of their employer and the judging panel, benefit from additional training to develop management skills that could equip them for a senior role in the future.
The successful nominee will be fully funded by the Manly Charitable Trust to undertake a management course assessed by BESA and the Trust as suitable for meeting the aims of the award and the needs of the successful candidate.

What the judges are looking for:
This award is to recognise the outstanding women in the building services sector. The Judges are looking for the person that has best demonstrated a positive impact in areas of sustainability and innovation. An inspiring person who champions the sector and who drives positive change on projects or within their organisations.

About:
The building services sector is embracing the need to encourage women, ethnic minorities and people with disabilities and this award seeks to recognise the progress being made on sites, offices, and branches in improving inclusion in all its forms.
The Diversity and Inclusion Award is open to companies who have introduced initiatives that help promote the role of women or encourage diversity and inclusivity in other ways, such as ‘neurodiversity’ or thinking differently.

The Award is open to companies to nominate themselves and BESA can also put forward companies that it recognises as being deserving of nomination for the award.
