The Building Engineering Services Association (the BESA) has appointed Amanda Ings to the post of membership services manager, following the retirement of Val O’Reilly after 39 years’ service.

Amanda Ings joined the staff of the association in 2006 as membership subscriptions administrator, in which role she supervised the transfer of subscriptions management to a new accounting system, automating direct debit collections and upgrading systems reports.

In 2014, she was promoted to the post of schemes manager for BESA subsidiary Building Engineering Services Competence Assessment Ltd (BESCA) to oversee the company’s Competent Persons and Energy Assessor schemes.

Commenting on Ms Ings’ most recent promotion, membership director Richard Ward confirmed that providing the highest quality of membership service and liaison was key to the future success and development of the BESA.

“I am confident that Amanda’s skills and enthusiasm, coupled with the experience of our CRM system she gained in her previous membership administration role, will ensure that we achieve a seamless transfer of our existing membership services provision ” he said.
