Judging process

Apprentice categories

You will be invited to sit an online test which will take approximately 45 minutes. The test is taken remotely and will be invigilated by a member of the BESA Academy Team. 

Once you have passed your test you will be invited to attend the the awards in your region. The shortlisted finalists will be announced on the night and put forward with a chance to win at a National level. The National Awards take place on the 12th October in London.

Industry categories - Regional

Once the deadline for your region passes the expert judges will view all entries anonymously and decide which entries to shortlist.  The shortlisted finalists will be announced at the regional awards in either, Wales, North East, North West, Scotland, London and the South and Yorkshire. 

All shortlisted finalists will be put forward to with a chance to win their category at the final Industry Awards on the 12th October.

Industry categories - National

The deadline for the national categories is the 14 July. All entries will be judged anonymously by our expert judges from a set of category specific criteria. The shortlist will be announced the first week of August and the winners announced on at the final Industry Awards on the 12th October.

Judges are selected from major clients and industry figures and contribute valuable time and effort. They review against strict criteria and attribute scores aimed at rewarding and recognising the very best of the building engineering services industry.
