Read MoreBESA Training's secure online application form and assessment is a simple step by step process. You can apply at any time throughout the year, as the on-the-job elements of the apprenticeship programme can be started as soon as you have been assessed and taken on by an employer.
Click the boxes below to find out more about each stage in the process.
Before you begin the online application form you will need to register for an online account here. You will need to provide an email address and password. Ensure you have regular access to the email address as this will be how we communicate with you.
We encourage you to fill out as much of the application form as possible. You don't have to complete the application in one go, you can save it and go back to it later.
Once you have registered as a BESA Training applicant, if you meet the apprenticeship programme requirements you will be invited to complete an online assessment.
You will be required to complete the following tests:
You can take the online assessment twice within one calendar year, for a maximum of two years.
Once you have passed your online assessment, a BESA Training Representative will arrange a telephone interview with you prior to becoming an approved BESA Training applicant.
BESA Training will keep your application and assessment on file and send to potential employers. Although we will try to find you an employer, you will also need to actively search too.
All our employers are vetted to ensure that adequate Health & Safety arrangements are in place and that they are able to provide the range of work required by you to achieve your qualification.
You can look through our apprenticeship vacancies here. Follow our Facebook page for our latest vacancy updates. If you can't find a suitable apprenticeship there, you can also search the following websites:
You will need to let us know what apprenticeship programme you are interested in. When you have been matched with an employer, you will be invited for an interview.
If you already have an employer lined up, then that is great. We will get in touch with them and arrange an interview if required.
Once you are matched with an employer, BESA Training will find you an appropriate placement at a college or training centre.
As part of your induction you will be provided with:
Your induction will either take place at your college/training centre or workplace.
You and your employer will be provided with your own dedicated BESA Training Representative for the duration of your apprenticeship.
Throughout your apprenticeship training, your personal BESA Training Representative will conduct progress reviews, which take place at a minimum of every 12 weeks. These will be a combination of on-the-job reviews on-site and off the job reviews whilst at college.
BESA Training will coordinate your learner experience by liaising with your employer, college and assessment team to gather feedback on your progress, both on and off the job.
Regular Toolbox Talks are provided on a variety of topics, such as Health & Safety, Safeguarding and Wellbeing.
