3.INDOOR AIR QUALITY
It is estimated that we spend around 90% of our time indoors in the UK. The pandemic has thrown attention onto the ventilation sector and finally made it visible – but how do we ensure the levels of ventilation are adequate?
BESA have set up indoor air quality (IAQ) monitors in their offices and Nathan Wood, Chair BESA Health & Wellbeing in Buildings Group will discuss the results and what they mean for buildings and business longer term.
4.RAISING THE ALARM ABOUT DAMPER TESTING
Building owners, managers and occupiers are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of comprehensive fire safety risk assessments in the wake of the Grenfell tragedy and imminent changes to legislation.
Peter Rogers, BESA Technical Consultant will update members on the BESA technical guidance for Fire and Smoke Damper Maintenance, which is widely available to support the industry’s efforts to improve the overall safety of buildings.
