BESA responds to final Grenfell Report

Following the final report into the Grenfell tragedy, published 4th September 2024 by Sir Martin Moore-Bick, BESA has created a summary of the  recommendations, some of which could have serious long-term implications for the industry. The report makes clear there were serious systemic failures leading to the tragedy, and that ALL the deaths were avoidable.

In her statement before publication, panel member Thouria Istephan said:

"If we are not professionally curious we will not become technically competent"

BESA noted the report's finding that the "construction industry as a whole needs to become technically more competent and less willing to sacrifice quality to speed and cost". Download the BESA summary by completing the form today.
