Industry Accreditation Overview

Why is Industry Accreditation ending? What has led to the changes in Industry Accreditation? - These two questions are our most frequently asked questions and we realise that many of you have been in the industry for years, so we want to make sure you understand why and how these changes have come about.

The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) has played a significant role in driving up standards through its recommendation on industry card schemes, the CLC recommendation has been adopted across the industry, with the result that cards carrying the CSCS logo are specified and promoted for those undertaking recognised construction occupations.

All Industry Accreditation cards will expire at the end of 2024, and BESA understands that many of you have been working on sites for many years, and whilst these changes can seem frustrating, they are fundamental for ensuring competence and compliance moving forward.
