The Operative National Agreement has been updated to reflect the terms of the October 2016 wage settlement.
Changes resulting from the settlement mean that from Monday 3 October 2016 there will be an increase of 2% in hourly rates and allowances and an introduction, on a permissive basis, of a new building services engineering supervisory grade.
Furthermore two changes to the pension provisions of the national agreement will also take place from 3 October, these are:
For Employers who have incorporated the agreement into the individual contracts of employment of their site-based hourly paid operatives, there is a legal requirement to inform employees of the change in their conditions of employment. In any event, it is good people management practice to issue copies of the agreement to all affected by it – including, in particular, your supervisors. It is also a handy reference document.
We are offering BESA members up-to 12 copies of the National Agreement handbook free of charge. To order your copy or copies of the handbook simply complete and return this form before Monday 3 October (any requests received after this date will be charged at £5 per copy of the handbook).
